Well, that was an interesting presser in the Oval Office.
Of course, notwithstanding the annoyance that Zelensky clearly doesn’t want to bankroll his own war, the US man-babies hardly covered themselves in glory.
Since the skirmish started, Zelensky has dressed down, wearing his combat fatigues wherever he has gone, though occasionally he has opted for the sinister all-black paramilitary look.
He’s an obvious charlatan and a weapons-grade cock to boot, but his khaki clobber is a symbol that his country is at war. Churchill donned similar attire when he met Roosevelt at the White House during WWII.
If plodding Vlod always wore a suit, he’d be portrayed as a desk jockey at the height of conflict.
And lest we forget, arch mong Elon Musk wears teenager t-shirts and baseball caps in the Oval Office.
None of this is as disrespectful as a non-consensual pussy grab, though.
The dressing-down Zelensky got was a tantrum and a deflection tactic. Trump wants to bully it through, told everyone Zelensky would sign, but doesn’t want to get into the detail of the deal and why he won’t acquiesce that easily. Probably because it’s shite –balances and likely exploitative.
You could say the same about buying vehicles and taking on mortgages, but people still do both because they want cars and houses.
Ironically, the Ukrainian was berated by the President for acting tough only because he had the US behind him, which is, erm, precisely the reason that Trump acts tough.
As an aside, most disturbingly was the way that scum media outlet Sky News looped the footage but edited out the initial question about dress code and disrespect. It made it appear that the US leaders were flaming the hapless charity fundraiser for refusing to negotiate peace.
This is fittingly Russian-doll distortion, and Donald is so far up Putin’s turdpipe that he could lick his fillings.
This was a rude awakening that a new era of international diplomacy is upon us where leaders will align not on the basis of ideology, but on that of power and money. We are in the era of deals, not agreements and treaties.
But Trump was right – Zelensky doesn’t have the cards. He’s going to have to sign up to a crap deal, or he’ll be replaced by someone else who will put pen to paper.
