Dire ‘Straights’

Predictably, the fringe loons gagging for eight inches of stiff virtue signalling have been clambering for Sarina Wiegman to be paid the same as Gareth Southgate.

I actually agree with this. They both deserve expenses only.

Hardly a full-time job is it? All the coaching and tactics gets done back at the Premiership clubs.

It’s no coincidence that England’s recent uplift in performance has coincided with the presence of Guardiola et al.

This furore makes you wonder about the potential gripe from all the half-decent boys U15 coaches around the world who aren’t already skyrocketing £400k?

Whether it’s the dire straights or the dire ‘straights’, as the lippie-lezzers seemingly project themselves, Dire Straits kind of summed it up in the eighties.

Money for nothing, and the chicks are free.

Perhaps the whinging has performed a useful service. Talk of an equal stipend has focused minds on just how equally useless they both are.

Hats off though to the various HRHs and the PM for opting not to travel to Australia for the final. Well, they didn’t really opt not to – it just never crossed their minds.

For the rest of us, it’s not even worth the effort to reach for the remote.
